AG=93-95 tasted from cuve Pale color. Aromas of lime blossom, elderflower, and mint show a medicinal, almost metallic austerity. Then juicy and surprisingly accessible on the palate, with pineapple and lemon flavors accented by oak spices. Already displaying a lot of personalities. At once penetrating and silky; comes across as lower in acidity than the Montrachet but more minerally. Finishes with enticing notes of grapefruit and crushed stone.
AM=91-94 Sweet Spot! This too has a more moderate wood influence that highlights ripe green fruit aromas nuanced by hints of spice and an obvious stony quality that continues onto the intense, detailed and pure big-bodied and powerful flavors blessed with so much dry extract that the finish displays an almost chewy quality. This is really quite a lovely example and while purists may not like the extra dose of wood, it may very well be completely absorbed with a few years of bottle age.
